THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS

Not so long ago, these were explicitly included in A-level syllabuses, although inevitably it was rare for a syllabus to go into a huge amount of detail about them. I must say, I find it regrettable that we are sending people out into the world with decent qualifications in Physics who may well have never explicitly heard of the laws of thermodynamics, although many will have an indirect understanding of some of them, such as the First and Third laws. Here's a presentation I put together which gives a reasonable overview of the Laws and their significance which can be done in a lesson or two:
