BLACK BOX CIRCUIT SIMULATORS

This page is intended to accompany a paper I've submitted to Physics Education which details how to build a Black Box circuit simulator. This is a small box containing a microprocessor which uses the controls on the outside to mimic the behaviour of any one of a large number of circuits. The idea is that pupils have to deduce the exact wiring of the circuit being simulated based solely on how the controls affect the bulbs.

Files are available containing the code, a makefile, or hex ready for programming directly into the microcontroller (the makefile assumes an AVRISPmkII will be used to program).

If you would like copies of the files containing the code, please just contact me using the Feedback links at the top or bottom of this page.
